After my Saturday posting I received dozens of inquiries and
requests for more information. Here they are for anyone
interested.
We have new, very attractive products which can be used as
wall panelling, finishing pieces for door, ceilings,
furniture, etc. These are panels, like solid wood shaped
panels that you would use for wall panelling, wainscoting
or for shaping door, cabinets, credenzas or other furniture. They are
made of natural European birch wood and are called
"Casetons". They look like real solid wood not like some
plastic or particle imitations made from several pieces of
cheap wood. They are made from 3 very thin layers of wood
of the total of 2 mm (0.08 inch) thickness glued and shaped
under great pressure. They have invisible perforation
making them strong and rigid enough to use as decorative
or finishing element and looking like a real thick wood.
They are very light, easy to install and can be finished
in all the ways the wood can. They are many times
less expensive than solid wood panels, yet no one can say
they are not from solid wood. We have presently the sizes
of 50x50cm (19.7x19.7"), 40x40 cm (15.7x15.7") and 33x50cm (13x17.9"), but we can offer any required dimensions.
The patterns presently available, sample pieces, pictures
and prices (e.g US$ 12 per 50x50cm piece, or less depending
on the size order) may be sent at request.

lutes. These matched boards are cut 22"x 8-1/4" x 3/16" and having between
15 and 20 grain lines per inch, are well suited for sound boards. These
boards are air dried and in some cases can be cut to your specifications.
